  • Murchision Falls National Park

    This park lies at the northern end of the Albert Nile rift valley and bisected or divided by the river Nile having the southern park which is a grassland savanna. The park is 5000km2 round and its mostly dominated by savanna woodland rivers wetlands and tropical forests home of over 70 mammals and 450 bird species.
    Among the big mammals include; Lions, elephants, leopard, Hippos,leopard cape buffalo,orib,warthog, crocodile, giraffe.

  • Bwindi Gorilla Park

    This gorilla park was gazette in 1942 and was recognized by the world heritage site in 1994 and registers over 300gorrillas in number. Bwindi can be cold especially in the morning and at night. The average temperature range is 7c-20c with the coldest being June, July then September, November are warm. Anyone tracking gorrilas must be above 15 years and usually booking is required since the permits are on high demand.

    Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Queen Elizabeth is 1978km enjoying a stunning location on the rift valley floor between lakes Edward and George. The park has over 95 species of mammals and 612 bird species including lions, antelopes, Buffallo, Hippo, elephants, warthogs etc
    The park is found in western Uganda about 6-7 hours of driving from Kampala.

    Lake Bunyonyi Resort

    Bunyonyi means birds. This one is a body of water, it is 25km long 7km wide and its altitude is 1,962m above the sea level. This place is more of a resting or relaxing place with plenty of good hotels just on the shores or overlooking this lake.

    Kibale National park

    This park is located in western Uganda about 6km from Kampala and its 795km2.its home to 13 species including chimpanzees and the main activity in this park is chimpanzee tracking and the park also register a big number of 32 bird species. Monkeys are also common such as the black and white Columbus blue monkey, olive baboon etc.

  • Mt Elgon national park

    Mt Elgon is a massive solitary volcanic mountain on the boarder of Kenya and Uganda in the Eastern. Mt Elgon is Uganda’s oldest physical features erupting 20million years ago. Mt Elgon supports wildlife including elephants, Buffalo, bush backs, leopard, spotted Hyena, but as usual in forests environments most of these species are rarely seen, the mostly commonly seen animals are monkeys. The park is a road less wildness and can only be explored on foot.

    Lake Mburo National Park

    This park is conveniently located close to the main high way from Kampala to the Rwanda and Congolese boarder. The park is small about 370km2 in size but has plenty of animals like the impala, Zebra, Antelopes, cobs and inland that are not else were in western Uganda.

    The park also registers abig number of species about 315 recorded and these include the papyrus yellow warbler saddle bellied stork, African fin foot, shoebill etc. Boat safaris are done on lake mburo for Hippos, crocodiles, birds etc

    Semulik National Park

    The park is 22km2 and the park records a big number of birds more than any other park. The has the famous hot springs that bubble up from the beneth sempaya demonstrating powerful subterranean forces that has been shaping the rift valley.

    The park is mostly known for nature walks/forest walks since animals are not commonly seen here. While in this park also the pygmies communities are visited since they are close to the park.

  • Kidepo valley National park

    This park is located in the far north Eastern about 700km from Kampala .This park parker boarders Sudan and Kenya. This park is so isolated but it’s the most magnificent and ranks among Africa’s finest wilderness. The park has a semi-arid climate having only one rainy season per year (April –September)and the rain is not heavy.

    This park registers a big number of animals than any other park in Uganda including the bat eared fox, striped hyena wolf, caracal and cheetah, lions, leopard, spotted hyena, Elephants, bush pig, Giraffe, Buffalo etc.

    Ngamba Island

    This is aproject of the Chimpanzee sactuary and the world conservation trust.The island consists of 100 acres 98 of which is forested.Ngamba island was officially opened to visitors in 1999 and currently home to 40 orphaned Chimpanzees and it is usually a one day safari.

    Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

    The sanctuary was created to reintroduce the rhinoceros to Uganda which have been instinct since 1982. The 70km2 sanctuary is mandated or has a goal of sustaining the rhinos and relocating them back to their original habitant in Uganda’s protected areas.

    This sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district just off the Gulu high way between Kampala and Murchison falls. In addition to rhinos the monkeys, bush bucks huge number of bird life is also common.
